COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
HEATED FRONT AND REAR SEATS
All Discovery Sport models come with the option of Touchscreen configurable heated front seats. Heated seats are also available for your second row passengers.
Ensure your Discovery Sport is as ready as you are with the addition of the Timed Climate feature. It can be activated remotely or pre-programmed through the Touchscreen to preheat the engine and cabin so the vehicle is either warm and cosy or cool and comfortable for your departure.
CONFIGURABLE AMBIENT INTERIOR LIGHTING
With the option of Configurable Ambient Interior Lighting on SE and HSE models, (standard on HSE Luxury), you can vary the colour and shade to change the ambience cabin to suit your mood.
A standard feature of all our 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles, the Torque Vectoring by Braking system enhances the Discovery Sport's agility and stability when cornering. The system constantly balances the distribution of torque between all four wheels, whether on or off-road, to improve grip and inspire confident steering.
The Terrain Response system comes as standard with all TD4 and Si4 engines and adapts to the responses of the vehicle's engine, transmission, differentials and chassis systems to maximise drivability, comfort and traction. A choice of four settings, General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts and Sand, ensure the vehicle is sure-footed no matter what the terrain or weather conditions.
HILL DESCENT CONTROL
Land Rover's patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) is a standard feature on all our 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles. HDC assists the driver with controlled descents of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel.
With a towing capacity of up to 2,500kg, Discovery Sport is capable of handling the most demanding towing tasks. Options of an electrically deployable or detachable tow bar combine with the vehicle's camera systems and Trailer Stability Assist technologies to provide supreme confidence when both manoeuvring and towing your load.
Wade Sensing is an optional feature designed to aid you when the vehicle enters water. Sensors in the door mirrors provide real-time information including the depth of the water and the vehicle's maximum wading capability via the Touchscreen.
ALL TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL
With Land Rover at its heart, the Discovery Sport is more than adept in the most challenging conditions. On tarmac, gravel, sand or snow, All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) acts much like a low-speed cruise control, helping the driver to maintain full concentration on steering and finding a path through obstacles.

In the ‘neutral sound' of our semi-anechoic chamber we precisely expose the cabin to a range of frequencies and vibrations, making certain that Discovery Sport sounds refined at every speed and across every surface.
20 KNOT WIND SPEEDS
In our climate chambers we can recreate some of the most challenging wind conditions Discovery Sport will face. Not just 240km/h blizzard winds, but high ambient temperatures and low airflow situations. Only by pushing all systems to their limits do we develop true reliability.
In real world environments and our climate chambers, we freeze vehicles to -40°C and bake them to 50°C. Key functions and systems are then scrutinised to our exacting standards. So even in the most remote locations, comfort and peace of mind are never far away.
From the icy proving grounds of Arjeplog, Sweden, to Dubai's unforgiving desert sands, we ensure our legendary all-terrain performance is innate in every vehicle. Prototypes are developed across approximately 8,500km of the most demanding off-road routes.
This standard feature, when activated, prioritises the most efficient vehicle settings including automatic transmission, Active Driveline and comfort features like heating and Air Conditioning in order to minimise fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
With its more streamlined profile, Discovery Sport is one of the most aerodynamic Land Rover vehicles. A unique 18" alloy wheel is available for optimised aerodynamics.
ADVANCED LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS
Discovery Sport's lightweight panels and components combined with advanced construction technologies not only deliver outstanding strength and ride refinement but also contribute to heightened efficiencies across the range of engines.
Land Rover offer specific derivatives that deliver the lowest possible CO2 emissions across our range - we call these our E-capability vehicles. A unique Blue SPORT badge on the rear of the vehicle denotes the lowest CO2 engines of the range which can be as low as 123g/km when you choose 2WD or 129g/km on a 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) manual TD4 150PS diesel.
LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT
Discovery Sport is designed with a life cycle approach, aiming to minimise environmental impact by considering the entire life cycle of the vehicle. From manufacturing, through customer use to end-of-life recycling, each element of the life cycle has been analysed with a view to consuming fewer natural resources, using more sustainable materials and minimising waste.
